# Connect Claude Code

> Show your Claude Code work on your office's floor. One button, once per computer.

**Connect Claude Code** is on the floor under **Settings**. New members see it right after picking a job title.

## Connect

**1. Press Connect Claude Code**

Allow your browser to open Isoplan. Some browsers call it "Node.js". That is Isoplan's helper.

**2. Click Connect on your computer**

A small window names your office's address and the person your work will show as. Check both, then click **Connect**.

**3. Done**

The floor shows **✓ Connected** with your computer's name. Your work appears from your next message in Claude Code.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Only click Connect for a window you opened just now from your own floor. A link someone else sent you would show your work as theirs.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Cancel** is selected at first, so pressing Enter cancels. Click **Connect**.

## The first time on a computer

Isoplan isn't set up in Claude Code yet, so after a few seconds the floor says so. Carry on from there:

**1. Press Set it up in Claude Code**

The Claude app opens Claude Code with a message ready. Use Claude Code in a terminal? Press **Use Claude Code in a terminal instead?**.

**2. Press Enter, and say yes when Claude asks**

Claude installs Isoplan, and Node.js if your computer needs it. It asks before it changes anything.

**3. Click Connect on your computer**

The same small window opens. Click **Connect**. Claude tells you whether it worked, and the floor shows **✓ Connected**.

**4. Open a new Claude Code window**

So Isoplan starts. If Claude said it couldn't connect you, type the `/isoplan:connect` line it gave you there. The floor shows the line too, with **Copy**. If the floor says the earlier link ran out, use its new line instead.

> [!TIP]
>
> To check later, type `/isoplan:connect` in Claude Code. It says whether this computer is connected, and to which office.

> [accordion] Nothing happened when I pressed Set it up
>
> Under **Nothing happened?**, press **Copy** and paste the message into Claude Code yourself.
>
> Using Claude Code in a terminal? It only opens from a link after you've used it once. Send it any message (just "hi" is fine), then try again.

> [accordion] It took more than ten minutes
>
> The message's link only works for ten minutes. Press **Connect Claude Code** again.

Only projects your admin has added to the office appear on the floor.

> [accordion] Prefer to install it by typing?
>
> In Claude Code, type each line and press Enter. Then open a new Claude Code window and press **Connect Claude Code** again:
>
> ```bash Claude Code theme={null}
> /plugin marketplace add isoplan-app/isoplan-plugin
> /plugin install isoplan@isoplan
> ```
